Outlook blocked access to unsafe attachment

There are several methods to resolve the message related to “outlook blocked access to unsafe attachment”:

Method 1: Use a file share to access the attachment by asking sender to save the attachment to a server or an FTP site that you can access. Have the sender send you link to the attachment on the server or FTP site.

Method 2: Use a file compression utility to compress the file and hence a different filename extension. Tell the sender that you have received the message: “outlook blocked access to unsafe attachment” and ask him to use winZIP, etc.

Method 3: Simply have the sender rename the file to have a different file name extension and you will not get this message, “outlook blocked access to unsafe attachment”. Rename the filename after receving it again to the original filename.

Method 4: Ask the Exchange server administrator to change the security settings.
